If it includes iMovie, then yes. What can be more fun than editing on a watch? 😉

Serious side, interested in purchasing one but gold plate model is out of reach.

    The magnetic timeline, it’s magnetic-o-matic!

  • I really love seeing how X has progressed over the years. Of course there is “It is still a toy” and “Not for professional use” mentality still going around. Go figure.

Getting used to the magnetic timeline is not a big chore as some might think. I mean, nothing like cleaning out a dirty commode or mucking a horse stall. Yuck!

I see great things down the road, just waiting for the next update. One that will hopefully bring back Bruce and brew a nice cup of java.

  • [John Rofrano] “The problem is the tracks. Get rid of the tracks… get rid of the problem.

    That’s one of the reason’s I use FCP X. No stink’n tracks. Liberating! ;-)”

I agree though for personal preferences I prefer audio tracks, not sure why.

I just thought of a new signature thinking about that super duper awesome magnetic timeline: The magnetic timeline it’s magnet-o-matic!

Hoping for a big update to Resolve as well and eagerly awaiting for the Mac version of Fusion. Have thought about jumping over to Linux but cost prohibitive at the moment from the Resolve side of things. As much as I love editing in X, never cared for the round trip scenario. All that rendering is a pain and always wonder if things translate as they should. Until then . . .

    No, just want tracks! 😉

Seriously, must say that Color Finale looks awesome and cannot wait to try it out. I am happy to see the good old fashion wheels coming back into existence. Now if they will only bring back 8 Track tapes. Not sure how to import those in to X though. 🙂

    Thanks for keeping us posted!

  • A two year project in FCP X is a mere $300 add another $50 if Motion is added in the mix. Same cost for a three year project and you have much more control by not having your project file held for ransom when subscription comes to an end. A bit obvious I know. 😉

Wil a Quadro card result in better performance in the edit page?
