Was hoping for this in Resolve but the answer looks to be no. Baselight is too expensive or I would jump ship.

Definitely will be awesome! Now if FCPX could allow for batch syncing of dailies and provide a Track Tetris timeline for feature or documentary editing.

I wish you could reject clips in KeyFlow Pro but you can’t at the moment. The only “workaround” is to add “Reject” as keyword then create a smart collection in FCPX where you can actually reject the clip range. This is not ideal but it works.

There is also Kyno but it is overpriced in my opinion. Have yet to try CatDV so no opinions there. Craig, what frustrates you with CatDV, just curious?

One thing I have noticed is that there is a KFP users group on Facebook but there are less than 100 members in there.

  • Just going to list what should be added:
    Out of sync indicators
    Mask tracking
    Vectors for color grading
    Better integration with Motion
Batch export clips from timeline with handles
    Better keyframes
    Moveable markers
The ability to do stuff as Shane Ross mentioned though Worx4 X is good
    Role based mixer
    More collaborative tools
Ability to add video transitions without adding audio fades automatically
Bill Davis you are holding it wrong extension ????

I see the current version as paving the way to a huge and potentially useful update when it comes out later this year. There is some speculation it could be during the NAB show. The extensions are a nice addition and possibly more extensions are on the way depending on the path Apple takes. It might be possible we could export individual clips from the timeline without the need for third party apps though that opens up opportunities and options for the end user. I predict Frame.io will have a larger presence in the ecosystem with a richer feature set. Apple does need to improve keyframing and add mask tracking to the toolbox. Outside of that it will be interesting to see what awaits us with the next update.

    My list:

    1. A new Mac Pro that actually has ports we need so we don’t need to make the warranty invalid by drilling holes for a headphone jack
    2. FCPX with real integration with Motion
    3. A role based mixer
    4. An alternative to Fusion, not sure what will happen to the standalone version
    5. The new COW interface and forum
    6. Bill Davis telling us we are holding it wrong ????
    7. More extensions for FCPX
    8. Better media management
    9. More alternatives to Photoshop
    10. Better masking tools for color grading, mask tracking and more color grading tools

I just looked at the published date at the bottom of the support page. Is it possible it was edited yesterday?

I am definitely going to send that request! This has been annoying me for years. Going to ask them to do the same for Events. After all KeyFlow Pro allows you to arrange Projects and Groups in any order you choose. Note: Projects in KeyFkow Pro are NOT the same as they are in Final Cut.

Unfortunately it is not possible to do that. You could create folders and organize keywords in there. However, there is no way of custom arranging the order of keywords or events. If you are going to have lots of keywords you will want to organize them in folders.
