I would like to know as well. Would love to use my iPad with it. I really finishing in it compared to Resolve. Node tree, that is flow, much easier and more efficient to work with. Waiting for Fusion to come out for OS X, really want to use Sapphire in there. It is amazing how powerful Fusion is but the learning curve is not as bad what I thought it would be.

Just signed up for three months and all is working well. Was hoping that builder would work in Resolve. Nothing major as Sapphire works very well.

    Oliver,

Resolve feels like a combination of FCP X, general UI; a bit of Avid due to tracks; and a little bit of Smoke, due to OFX being added into the nodes. Only downside with Resolve is the need to render OFX and transitions, otherwise a step in the right direction. Of course, that could be another topic. My two cents, whatever it is worth.

I am seeing a bit of this in Fusion, remaining neutral in my opinion.

I must say Oh Twinkies on that one. I believe that Sapphire does work in Fusion Studio as well. Too bad the build your own effects does not work in Resolve. Oh well, still think it will be a solid investment to have otherwise.

What is odd is that any QuickTime files rendered out under Yosemite works fine in the current version of OS X, weird. Fusion is still in beta and I have not seen any official word that it is supported with El Capitain, at least that I know of. Considering migrating to Linux soon if Apple keeps this up.

Doing this on a hobby level right now and mainly motion graphics with some finishing.

Sadly, it seems that something has gone crazy under the latest OS X, trying to sort it out. I render out a QuickTime movie, trying all the ProRes codecs available only to find out that QT Player will not open them, likewise they won’t open up in FCP X either. Oddly enough, if I render out uncompressed it will be fine in QuickTime player but shows up black in Final Cut Pro for reasons unknown.

I did take a look at the file size and it shows up 0 KB when I right click to show info on the file. Never had this problem under Yosemite, it has shown up under El Capitain for reasons not yet known. I do realize that Fusion is still in beta for Mac, so guessing this might be an OS X support issue. Hoping to hear back from someone soon on the Blackmagic Design website.

I did the usual clean install, erasing the drive prior to upgrading. One thing I noticed is there is no way to repair permissions using the Disk Utility application. Perhaps that feature has been removed. Something else, don’t try to erase free space as you will wind up erasing the entire drive. It feels like a new version of Windows Vista all over again. Apple seems to being losing touch and innovating too fast, all of which leads to buggy software. Adobe is not alone in this arena, having a feeling that with fast development, software with issues will become an increasing problem. Not picking on Apple or Adobe, just giving an observation. Granted this post went a bit off topic but feel there is relevant information to share.

On a side note, been trying out the non-commercial version of Nuke Studio, which has a stronger learning curve. Hoping that the good folks at BMD will make something similar happen with Resolve and Fusion. That would save time and create some additional competition. Of course the other software is aimed at the very high-end market, nothing wrong with that.

Upon closer look the file says it is Zero Kb in size. Wait a few minutes to render out a movie but not sure what is going on. No issues under Yosemite so I am thinking Fusion might not be supported under El Capitian, just a guess.

It was ProRes 422 and Fusion did notify me when rendering was finished. The file tries to conver before being opened in QT player as well. All was fine in Yosemite. Using the beta 2 version of Fusion at the moment.
