    Hi Mike,

Where do you turn that off? I’ve looked in the Encoder – do you mean “Allow Interlace Processing”? I’ve tried ticking that and unticking it and it doesn’t seem to help?

Cool. I really feel you guys are moving on this product – a reassuring sign.

That is where a user chosed mjpeg would be good. The current one just a touch too low in quality – would be great to be able to state a Mb/s level or a simple quality level and let the user choose the balance between dick space usage and quality.

Cool, thanks guys. When I first got the set up, I did a test, component out of the HDV camcorder (it’s NOT the main use for the system but a little home editing won’t hurt!) capturing uncompressed and HDV capture. There was no question that the HDV capture was better. I’m guessing as it’s stored HDV on the tape you won’t get better and HDV to HDV requires no decoding at all?

So, that’s the solution, a BM based preset with hdv as the capture device – it’s that simple? Then when I want to go back out to the camcorder, how will it go back HDV? Maybe there’s no need – go straight to blu ray?

    Hi Joshua,

At the weekend, before I saw your post (not expecting a Saturday posting!), I decided to go ahead with the re-installation into the default directory. I needed to get back up running before Monday! After doing this, all seems to be working fine. In any case, thanks for your kind help – especially on a Saturday!

Now, if you guys could figure out a way to get image sequences working seamlessly and even better get the Multibridge to update LCD monitors on a 25FPS 50Hz basis, you’d have THE most incredible product! (Oh and variable mpeg compression – So users can choose between quality and disk space usage would be a nice addition). Keep up the good work!

No. Does that make a difference? If so, it would have been nice to know before the two hour installation of CS3 and BMD drivers!

Is that the next thing I should try then? Should I be aware of anything else before I do it?

    Hi Kristian,

OK, so I de-installed both CS2 and CS3 completely. I re-installed CS3, then de-installed the multibridge driver and then re-installed it (6.4 on windows XP). I opened up Premiere Pro CS3 to see no Black Magic Codecs. I’ve restarted and checked again – no luck! Help! What can I do now? The MBE displays the desktop wallpaper on the video DVI LCD so I assume that it’s ok. I’m assuming you guys have done an install onto CS3 and got the presets come up?

    Now what?

    Hi Kristian,

Thanks for replying. I do have both CS2 and CS3 on the system and neither work. Thanks for the suggestion. I shall try that and get back to you.

    Thanks

    Harlan,

    Thanks for that – appreciated!

Looking forward to getting the Xena system and FINALLY getting image sequences to (hopefully) play straight off the timeline….. Just hope that HDP converter is good and then I’m good to go!
