Exception thrown by method called”Sorry for my attitude – I was merely frustrated and needed to finish up a project before the 14th. Steve, I haven’t been back here since because I’ve been busy with school, but I very much appreciate the help I’ve been given. To seem ungrateful is that last thing I want to be!
When it came to P2P our experience differs and let’s just leave it at that, like Rofrano wanted to in the first place anyway.
But thanks again!
But to update on my Vegas 12 status. Rendering is still working fine. I’ve been keeping a log and installed various Windows updates, Quicktime 7, DirectX, etc – anything that I use on a regular basis (except Quicktime, I only use that for the codecs required on Vegas).
As soon as I install anything, I log it with time & date. I’ve yet to install MPC, but I miss it. VLC just doesn’t sit right with me. 🙂 -

I guess Vegas thinks I do have the Fraps clip left, and it needs the Fraps codec to view it, or something.

If you are worried about me infecting the computer then I can say that any idiot who uses bittorrenting is bound to have the computer ridden with viruses; but I am not an idiot. I carefully select and choose,as well as scan the files whenever I download something.

Exception thrown by method called”Like I anticipated; MediaInfo and GSpot only recognizes certain filetypes; not Vegas projects. GSpot and MediaInfo doesn’t show any info besides the size. Mind explaining how I check for codecs on a Vegas project file (.veg)?

µTorrent
Adobe Air
Adobe CS6
Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin
Asus Xonar D1 Audio (audio driver)
Foobar2000 v1.2.1
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (x64)
Mozilla Firefox 18.0
Mumble 1.2.4
Nvidia Graphics Driver 306.97
OpenAL
Vegas Pro 12.0 (64-bit, build 394)
Windows Essentials 2012 (Only Messenger)Vegas is still working. I’ve also been launching Steam from my (E:) harddrive and playing some games – Vegas is still working.
Regarding the Vegas project file – what program should I scan it with to see what codecs it’s using? GSpot?

January 12, 2013 at 6:19 pm in reply to: Sony Vegas 12: Render As -> “An error occurred while creating the media file . Exception thrown by method called”Hmmm, I tried opening my old project from before the reformat. It says “An error occurred while loading file test.veg. An error occurred while opening a codec.”
I can however open other old projects. This “test.veg” project is the one that I first experienced the error with.
