Have you removed the drives from the enclosure since the last successful mount? Maybe the drives were put back in the wrong slots. If so, switch them back.

I just needed to send three projects to compressor and noticed that you are not able to paste while a job is selected. Click on a blank area in the batch to unselect the job, then you can paste.

I had a similar situation, though only 27 (1 hour) projects. Using send to Compressor from FCPX, as you mentioned, makes a new batch for every sent project. So what I did was copy/paste the job from each batch (one at a time, obviously) into one batch so they could all be submitted at once. Not an optimal workflow but it worked!

Yes, you need either Thunderbolt, PCIe or Expresscard/34. Unfortunately none of which are available to you on that iMac.

Matrox MXO2 LE with the thunderbolt option. If you frequently deliver H.264, the MAX option is a must have in my opinion.

Yes the OWC Data Doubler means you lose the DVD drive, you can put the super drive in a USB enclosure though. I didn’t bother because I use an external LaCie bd burner already.
Another option is the MCE opti-bay which actually comes with a SuperDrive enclosure.

No problem. The same rule applies in Compressors Job Action “Publish to YouTube” info pane. All fields required and no spaces in the tags field.
Be sure that the job is highlighted (not the setting) when looking for the “job action” tab in Compressor.
If you still have problems, just upload the file created with compressor by signing in to YouTube and choosing upload.

It might be a problem with incorrect YouTube username/password, Video name, description or tags. When filling out the YouTube info pane on export it requires all fields to be filled in, and using a space to separate tags will cause a failed export if I remember correctly. So I only add one tag, more can be added later in YouTube video manager
But, I prefer to export a QT, open it in compressor and automatically upload to YouTube with a job action after compression.

FCPX could use the RAM.
Just a thought, I recently bought and installed the OWC Data Doubler in my 17″ MacBook Pro 6,1 and am very happy with it so far. Both internal drives are 500GB WD Scorpio Black (WD5000bekt). It’s really nice to have both the “System Drive” and “Media Drive” internal, being a laptop, it’s great for portability.
Whether or not your comfortable/willing to open up your MBP is another story.
Of course I still use FW 800 drives as well, and highly recommend using one for your media drive if nothing else. I’ve had great experiences with several LaCie D2 Quadra’s and a 4Big.

Select File> Save. Choose a location on your hard drive to save to. After you save, FCP’s autosave feature kicks in so you can revert back to and older version of your project should the need arise.
