It looks good to my eye and the cadence is correct when I go frame by frame. However, it is mostly stationary footage with little movement.

For the 23.98 that we sent to a house to be converted, I believe the post house converted the footage by outputting the original 23.98 quicktime to a deck.

I’m running the footage through a Matrox MX02 LE box to a 720p monitor, off of a 59.94 DVCPro HD 720p60 sequence

    Hi, Shane

Just been following this thread and I had a question.

I have a FCP sequence in 720p 59.94, and I have some 720p 23.98 footage that was run through hardware to convert to 59.94, a test clip from Compressor converted to 59.94, and some other clips that are still 23.98 and haven’t been converted.

When I output the sequence as a 720p 59.94 quicktime and compare the frames of each, the result from direct output off the sequence looks identical to my eye, and the frame cadence matches as well (2 identical frames, followed by 3 identical frames, repeat).

I was curious if I was missing a major problem it could cause to output off this sequence with mixed frame rates, since as far as I can tell it looks completely unaffected.

    Thanks!
