Thanks, Andrei! That’s exactly the info I wanted.
It works to make the move but, unfortunately, it did not solve my judder/random hesitations problem. I’ll have to do some further research and tests to find out what’s causing that.David

Well, after lots of process of elimination, turns out it was the fault of one still image that was corrupted in some way. The image played fine on the time line, but when M100 tried to render it, it failed. What is concerning is that there was no way to know this without the extensive trial and error process of rendering short segments until I found the area where the problem was. Seems like M100 should be able to examine its own timeline and tell you if there is something there it doesn’t like, or at least bail out of the render when it reaches a corrupt resource and put an error message so one can know what happened without wasting hours and days trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Floh,
I am running 13.0.4. Apparently, I have that bug. Changing scale enabled the nodes on the timeline.
Thanks!David

Thanks.
I found the button and can make nodes using the pot slider in the mixer, but still can’t make any nodes directly on the timeline. If I try to adjust a node that the mixer made, it deletes it.David

Floh,
Good suggestion. I have been using the default timeline “black” – and that was causing the problem. I inserted an actual clip of black and that solved it.
So, it looks like there a technical difference between a black clip and the black from an empty timeline? I’ve never had any problems in the past just using the empty timeline, say between a slate and the first video.
Thanks.

I’m trying to do this, too, but when selecting any clip or clips and holding OPT/CMD and going into the Batch Reacquire Selected menu, absolutely nothing shows up in either of the two fields of my Batch Reacquire window. I read on another thread that items won’t show up here unless they match the current settings, and I tried resetting to 44100 to see, but still nothing in the fields. Also, that would seem to defeat the purpose of being able to force a reformat.
If I select any media clip in any bin, it should show up (at least) in the Batch Reacquire windows, shouldn’t it?
I’m working with voice tracks I accidentally Acquired using the lower data rate.
Thanks!David

Ha!
I just hope this isn’t what we old video/TV guys called the “Engineer Effect”, where the (insert your tech problem here) goes away while the engineer looks at it and then promptly resumes once the engineer leaves the area! Anyway, now I get to trade my audio problem for a video input/output one. Can’t get the system to see my Beta deck or output video to my monitor. . . sigh.David

Thanks for the responses.
Gregg, I’m just acquiring voice over tracks using analog mic inputs into the AJA box from my mixer.Wick gave me some ideas, and I just now had a chance to go test my system again. Must be the magic in the air, because without changing anything, my test recordings are now all perfectly FINE, wouldn’t you know. Tried one at 48k, and at 44.1k and both are just as smooth as baby powder.
According to Wick, it may have been an anomaly where I needed to simply open up the AJA control panel and click on some things there and then close it back up without changing anything. Sometimes that will clear the system and all is well. I did that, so perhaps that is what corrected the problem this time.
Hopefully, that took care of it all and I won’t be back here beseeching you guys and gals for help again! 😀
Thanks again for the insights and attention.David
