    Three things:

    1) faster shutter speed for sharper/higher definition.. you want each frame caught to be as crisp as possible cause you’re moving and because you’re vibrating with the helo.

    2) Shooting 1080p24/25/30 because you’ll likely need to smoothcam/stabilize it in post later. Frame using the 14:9 lines instead of the full edges to compensate for lose of framing due to stabilisation. progressive frames help if you are displaying on LCD.. on CRT, makes no difference.

    3) Shoot wide to minimise shake.. Tele wont work unless u can strap on a stabiliser.

    Easy.

    Make folders projectname-1,projectname-2…,3….,4

Copy each of the folders u renamed into 1,2,3,4 respectively.
Rename those folders back to BPAV in their respective 1,2,3,4 folders.

Your software should read them now. Next time.. dont do that again.. just copy the entire BPAV folder into each individual folder.

  • Took another crack at this. This time with a little bit more enthusiasm.. I keep running back to my roots. Skin tones and warm shades.

  • 🙂 This is probably one of the most difficult things to see and understand for people without extensive competent experience in the world of photography. Sometimes, images that seem to look good to the layman tend to look over-processed and lacking details to the technicals. Too rich a color and we get ‘inaccurate’ skintone.. too low and we get flat but realistic color tones. Wonder where and when are we able say, “ok.. this is right” because at the end of the day, the final decision lands on the producer/director/DOP and their vision of what the final end product should look and feel like. A DOP with extensive experience with portraits would prioritise skintones over others for example and his/her view would not necessarily reflect the mood of the scene…

I think color is very subjective and the only real answer is should be right in this should be:
    1) The colors/exposure is leveled and has a good range from the white to black point.
    2) Contrast should be balanced for acceptable detail level in highlights and shadows as viewed from a calibrated monitor
    3) It looks right to the final decision maker 🙂

  • “Ask three colorists or prepress techs about what’s right and you’ll get three answers. ”

    ROFL

Shows how subjective things are :p

  • For one.. it looks pretty much underexposed. No.2, the red saturation is too high.

    The problem is as stated:

After update of firmware, reboot. OSX starts up. If desktop is set, then the LCD starts flashing black and back. If i set the system info on the LCD to display, it starts showing the connection is turning on and off.
Tried it with setting to display black and the same occurs when i run FCP.

I’ve reverted to 8.1 by uninstalling and reapplying the firmware patch (after a full shutdown) and that works fine.

I’ll email the serial over tomorrow morning. What profile do you mean?
