There’s a great iMove forum in the Support>Discussions area at apple.com.
Signal to noise ratio is really low but you should be able to search for your camera model.

You might not like the results on your G4. Tiger really chews up processing.
Check the specs at the apple.com store.

That might not produce the results you want.
No real way of knowing until you actually encode some of the bladed material. Compression markers do not always produce the results you are expecting, depends on the source codec and target format. Compressor is on everyone’s poop list these days.

A card will not help your FCP process your realtime, unfortunately, at this rev, it’s all about CPU, not GPU.
A new card will make Motion scream, though.

Not in this generation of FCP. You gain an itty little bit of display assistance in certain conditions using Tiger’s CoreVideo services but they are not hooked into the application to boost rendering or processing. Hopefully, FCP6 or 5.5 will have hooks into the advanced capabilities of the new generation of graphics cards. However, we’ve been counting on it since Motion1 shipped 18 months ago.

October 19, 2005 at 2:53 pm in reply to: FCP SERIAL PROB!

[gary adcock] “have you tried to throw away the FCP System ID file, FCP prefs and then restart your machine?
then try running the updater. it should then ask for a valid serial number for the upda”

Gary, great suggestion, missed that one.
Looking back over my collection, FCP3 (one full retail and one upgrade from FCP2), FCP4 (two upgrades from FCP3) and a new Production Suite for FCP4, the numbers all have slightly different formats.

Look in the manual for recapture and Media Manager.

You’re in for a very unpleasant surprise.

The Motion blur parameter in the Motion Tab cannot be keyframed. Digital HEaven makes a Whip Pan plugin for FCP, I think it’s only $5.00.

    google digital heaven.

    Call Apple.
Read the docos that came with your serial numbers.
AFAIK, there is no way to change a serial number without reinstalling since the serial is entered before the installation script runs.
