Not in the library that I recall but there are several video wall tutorials on the net. Try here first:

Probably one here on the cow!

So, you’re saying all of the advice you received from all of the gracious professionals in all of the other forums were you have posted this same question is no good?

[Frank van Mourik] “wow! sorry! please don’t get offended! I use AE daily but don’t do a lot of type animation. that’s it. “

I’m not offended. I could have preceded my post by imploring yo not to be offended but I’ve no time for such emotional nonsense. You asked a question, I gave you a truthful and succinct answer without knowing anything about your experience level in After Effects,
The link in your post implied a dramatic lack of comprehension of how basic visual effects are created. Those text layers are just layers with text on them. Everything else is accomplished with the most fundamental applications of masks, color shapes, blurs, glows, and opacity.

[Frank van Mourik] i can do it but i only thought there might be simpeler way.”

There is. I gave you two options.

I got this in the Cinema Tools manual. Some cameras do a fake 24p by baking it into a 60i format. I do not know if the OP’s camera can be set to shoot 24p absolutely.

    > Adding and Removing Pull-Down in 24p Clips
Cinema Tools and Final Cut Pro have pull-down removal and addition features that
address issues specific to working with 24p video. Pull-down, as first mentioned in
“Frame Rate Basics” on page 22, is a process that adds redundant fields to video in
order to distribute 24 frames per second into the NTSC standard of 29.97 frames per
second. Some camcorders, such as the Panasonic AG-DVX100, are designed to shoot in
progressive mode at 24 fps (literally 23.98 fps), and then record the video to tape as a
60-field interlaced signal by applying a special kind of pull-down called advanced
2:3:3:2 pull-down. With Final Cut Pro or Cinema Tools, you can remove the redundant
fields created by the camera’s pull-down, so that you can edit at 23.98 fps or 24 fps.
When you edit 23.98 fps video, you may need to output it to an NTSC monitor, record it
to an NTSC videotape, or send it to another type of NTSC device. Because the NTSC
standard specifies a frame rate of 29.97 fps, Final Cut Pro gives you a way to add
pull-down back into the video as you output it. To accommodate various circumstances,
Final Cut Pro provides a few different types of pull-down patterns for outputting your
    23.98 fps video as 29.97 fps video: 3:2 pull-down, 2:3:3:2 pull-down, and 2:2:2:4 pull-down.
(These pull-down patterns are described in “Pull-Down Patterns You Can Apply to
23.98 fps Video” on page 215.)

Hope you get better advice soon.
If you shot 24p and are using a 24p timeline, there is no interlacing by definition.
So you’ve got a setting wrong somewhere.

Forget the Macintosh portables. they will never be the powerhouses you need to “push” any application. convenient and cool, maybe, but one buys a portable because it’s portable, not because Apple hypes it as appropriate for video editing.

Drives aren’t the issue, neither is RAM. You must be able to expand or replace the graphics card because whatever they’re putting into them today will be obsolete in a few weeks. Adobe’s promise of OpenGL is a cruel joke and the next rev of Final Cut Studio might be heavily dependent on the GPU much like Motion is today.

There’s nothing complicated about that effect. Each text layer has a simple blinking layer on top and some blur.

If this is your idea of time consuming, stop using After Effects and hire someone who enjoys the application.

Joke or not, searching for “marionette” will return many more results than the the OP’s spelling.

But… scripts aren’t really necessary. Simple parenting will link most joints together if you know how to move anchor points. “Hanging from strings” implies spring action, gravity and resilience and those are really tough to do without extensive scripting.

Paper puppets were one of the coolest and most prolific tutorial efforts when parenting was introduced. I’ve still got my AE5 Total Training series of VHS tapes just because the parenting and 3D segments include stuff Brian and his boys have never repeated.

No clue what you’re seeing in your head or your monitor but, I must say, building 3D models of buildings in After Effects is a supremely difficult task. There are few tutorials on how to erect 3d cubes which, if scaled large enough, can easily be considered rooms. I don’t know where to tell you to go to look for these tutorials except maybe here on the cow. Digital anarchy sells a great plugin called 3d Assistant. You basically apply this to a layer and then drop 6 other layers onto the wells for the “Box Creator” effect. Very cool.

They once had a free, limited performance but fully functional 3D Assistant Lite on their site. I do not see it any longer. Bummer.

Or render the movie and bring it into another project, apply your filter there.
    Both processes have benefits.
