I’ve recently been working with this and learned the hard way that the mapping the way you’ve shown, and believed it was correct may not be what you think. Let me explain. Everything you did is what I did too. I had 10 channels. I found out that when they sported they became interleaved not discreet. I only found this out by seeing it in a Prores file. If you monitor your render on the media page it will look correct. I thought I was golden. It wasn’t till an external QC that it came to my attention. Can Resolve do a render with Discreet channels? Is it something I’m doing? I only did this with Prores. Didn ‘t test with other files.

Thanks very much. I realized after posting that I hadn’t loaded FCP7. I had gone back to FCP 5 to try to resolve the issue. I did find the culprit files that you’re pointing out with the path. I removed and FCP 5 loaded right up. I’m now upgrading to FCP 7 and hope is works. Thank you for your post.
I’ll update after FCP 7 is done updating.

  • Having the same problem. I had a client coming in and had to send him away till I solved the problem. I deleted Resolve off the MAC and reinstalled. Seemed to work fine. I closed the ap and tried to relaunch when I got the license hang up again. Not what I’d call a dependable workflow. Waiting patiently for a solution to this. OK trying to wait patiently…..really…….waiting……
