I wish I could help you, but I can’t. Just wanted to back you up saying I`m having horrendous problems with Vegas 11 crashing. Simply editing or using FX can cause it to crash. I am using a brand new system, W7 64bit, and all drivers are bang up to date. 16GB RAM, I7 CPU and the weakest link is Vegas, it`s stunningly bad at the moment.

When it’s running, it`s amazing, but it goes for anywhere between 2 and 10 minutes before keeling over.

Have to say the Newblue Title is very fiddly, I am trying to do simple bullet points and there`s no obvious way to align them. Copy and paste doesn`t always work correctly either.

All in all, pretty poor after expecting so much!!

Reporting back on original problem with bad lagging, I think I may have sussed my issue. I have a USB speaker switching unit so I can switch between different computers. Now, in Vegas 8 and 9 I was allowed to edit without sound quite happily. This would be the case if I was adding a lot of text etc, and needed music to keep me motivated!!

In 10, it doesn`t like the sound being ‘switched out’, so hence the bad lag. Only a minor nuisance to me, must be something different in 10 to cause this. Not sure if this would ever help anyone, but that`s my observations.

BUT, the event swapping out is still active, and appears to be the same shots it keeps exchanging. Definately a bug, as event title on the timeline says correct file name, Properties reports back a completely different media event!! Have reported to Sony.

    Thanks Steve,

It was me being stupid, I hadn`t used Vegas for about 3 months, and it`s amazing how you quickly lose it. It was the bypass I(Split Screen View) which was toggled off, clicked it back on and hey presto, the green disappears!!

I like the simple fixes, thanks for responding.
