I get that you can preview the clips in media browswer…however I’m not able to bring in one clip with audio attached. The only way I’ve been able to include audio is if I drag the entire contents folder in to my project folder.
You’re not talking about just importing straight from the P2 card in to Premiere, right? I don’t want to work off the card. I need the media in my poject folder which is in an external drive.

Well that is one of my BIG issues. The lack of live preview is a joke. Its driving me insane actually. So this is a FCP issue? Because I used Boris on a daily basis with my AVID, and it was great.
It seems like there’s a lot of great things about FCP, but man do they need to do something about their horrible titling set up.

I do know AE…and use it at work.

However this is for a home edition…for freelancing. So I’m looking for a cheaper alternative. If there is a plugin that mimics 3D warp out there.

Otherwise I’ll probably just go with Boris.

    and another question…

Now that I have a new system, I’d like to do some freelancing on the side.
At work, I run a finished spot onto tape (SX) and it goes in a server to be aired.
At home, I don’t have a deck, so I won’t be outputting stuff on to tape. So heres a stupid question….will dvd authoring software be sufficiant enough for professional/broadcast work? Do I just plop it on to a dvd and whatever station ends up airing the spot will be able to take it from there?

No, I don’t see any yellow, blue or red in the timecode track.
