    i think i may have spoken too soon! as well as left out another detail…

    before i did what i described in my last post i repaired the permissions on my system drive with the disk utility. not sure if it’s relevant, but you never know.

    now what i am getting is that i can open the psd sequences as nests, but they are coming in at the wrong timebase! they are coming in as 25fps, when i need them to come in at 29.97… very strange… i’ll keep trying…

    Hi All,
    long time reader, first post, so if i do something terribly noob-ish, please don’t flame me…

    i have been having this problem for a couple of days now and i think i might have something else you might want to try if you haven’t already.

    open the FCP project you need to import your psd’s into.

    select your sequence

    go to sequence – settings

    go to the video rendering tab

    select ‘render as 8-bit YUV’

    import your 8 bit RGB psd’s that were not working. FCP will think about it for a bit and then you should see the psd’s in your browser as sequences instead of stills

    i’d love to know if this helps. it seems to have worked for me…
