Hey all, It’s been tested and verified that its an Apple OS bug and has been seen working with the next update. I assume 10.6.8 though didn’t get clarification.

Also have no idea how long it will be before this is released.

Yeah it definitely will be an issue on the hardware level, I’ve had a system set up and literally just changed the Quadro 4000 out for the FX4800 with no changes to the drivers or anything and the FX works without any problems at all.

I’m expecting “resources allocated” in 2-4 weeks. Here’s hoping it’ll yield some results.

As an additional note for anyone that is interested I’ve checked the FX4800 today in the same machine I’ve been testing with no change to the software or drivers (as both cards use the same one) and it works fine with no problems or distortion.

Cheers for the response Michael, I’m pretty certain *though to be confirmed* that the same setup with say a Quadro FX4800 would work fine, I absolutely need to run more tests and confirm what will or won’t work here so I can see for definite.

I’m really interested to see if there is anyone that has this working, albeit by fluke or if there are people out there with any NVidia cards working in this kind of situation. Recommended doesn’t necessarily mean not supported, though there is only so much testing I can do so it would be great to get some setup based feedback.
