I’ve had similar thing happen. However I am new with Premiere Pro. My PC is fairly new & pretty fast but I assumed it just wasn’t fast enough to handle highest end quality videos. It works ok on lower end. I’ll be interested to see what others advise you on to resolve this. I may have the same issue.

Thanks, I meant to include the specs in my initial post. It has 1 GB of RAM, and the hard drive is about 80 or 100GB.

11 GB per hour may not be much, but do you think a PC of this size should be able to zip around and FFWD & RWD with that size a file?

I’ll try the reboot thing you mentioned, although I don’t think it’s really virus related, it works plenty fine otherwise, and with smaller, average quality imported files. Maybe I should designate a PC or drive for this kind of work.
