I have 5.0.4. on my power book. Which is fine. However the design department has multiple stations running 5.0.0. Upgrade one they upgrade all. Not something they want to deal with right now. Does FS 100 work on 5.0.0. or do they have to upgrade? They said something about the voodo codec being an issue.

Thanks for responding Gary. No I just did a straight FW output from Final Cut Pro to the AJ 1200. I didn’t do any mix downs or print to tape. I tried both 1080i out and 720pn out. Both glitched in the same manor. The glitch always occured in the top left quadrant of the screen. Perhaps it’s a FCP issue.

One last silly question. I’m used to shooting on a beta cam sx, I’m trying to catch up to this new camera. When is it an advantage to shoot in 720p mode at 4 minutes on a 4 gig card when you can get 10 minutes at 720pn. I don’t see any reason to shoot in 720p. What am I missing?

Lastly, I heard that the Firestore is due to be shipped the last week of April. Have you heard any rumors of problems? Are their any rumors of alternate products on the horizon that might be worth waiting for.

Thanks, is there much drop off between 720p and 720 pn? I assume because of the increased recording capacity that it would be significant. Is that true?
