Hi,
Did you get this issue sorted out? I’m thinking of getting an Intensity Pro card to do the same – can it take component input?
Cheers.

Thanks for this – do you know the cropping dimensions for PAL?

Hi Shane,
If it had been done correctly formatted to 16:9 – would the black bars – no longer be there…
and be more like the below?
https://www.streamload.com/actionman007/full.jpg
or would it still retain an element of the black bars…
Tad confused at the moment…
As the client has labelled one of his DVDs as 1.85:1 anamorphic (as full.jpg) which was written on the korean release of the same title…
The previous title (dvd_telecine) has been labelled as 1.85:1 – and the client is protesting that it should be a 16:9 image…
any light on the situation would be appreciated!

Would you say its a 4:3 image / or a 16:9 image – (anamorphic or non)

I just want a reliable format to keep my files safe – don’t want to store them on a hard drive cause i’ve lost many a project over time due to failures and errors…

Just to let you know that the Cross Grade process went fine – I received my disks within 2 days of sending them – pretty damn fast! 9 discs came back and I’m one happy chappy!!!

Hi,
Thanks for this info guys – very useful…

I’m torn between both at the moment. I’m not liking HD-DVD cause its been developed my Microsoft, and will probably be full of critters… then again I’m not a fan of proprietory formats such as what Sony brings to the market like UMD, Mini-Disc etc…
Too much choice – I was kinda hoping that they would standardise one format and that be that… i’ve been reading that some crazy scientists have been working on the next generation of HD called non other than UHD – Ultra HD. Apparently they ran out of room for further testing as 18mins of footage was about 36 terabytes at a crazy res of 4440 x some other big number… Probably have to wait until us consumers are happily spending time on our 40gbps broadband lines… ;p

Hi Alex,
I have downloaded and installed the software – I am trying to add a Macromedia Director Classic projector to the disc – I have also tried with OSX projectors and still no joy!
There are also a bunch of html files and CSV files – these can all be read – but the projector does not load up… it has no icon associated with it – when u double click it should launch – however the mac asks what I want to do with the file!
If you want I can email you the classic projector if you could try your end that would be great!
Cheers,
Dan 😉
