you could probably also accomplish this by using the text animators (of course you would need the text as ai file that is not outlines)
it would be fairly easy to do this way if you are comfotable with how they work

hi ron
im sure you have heard it before, but…i like a threaded view, but it would be nice to see the posts i have read differetiated from the unread.
i also like a track threads feature that i have seen on other sites that when activated it will bring that thread back to the top if there are new posts made ( and of course indicate which posts are new)
right now you have to reply to a thread for a notifaction, and i dont always remember to check the email button (nor want an email for every thread i respond too)
thanks for the great site though 🙂

unless you are using maya or some app that needs the quadro’s extra features ( i dont believe any of the apps you mentioned do) id drop the graphics card down to a regular nvidia card, and a 2nd processor. if you go this route i also suggest nucleo pro.

not in front of AFX now, and im not exactly what you are seeing, but try setting the top layers mode to alpha add.
that the problem?

what this workflow does is allow after effects to do its calculations in 16 bit.
now, if you are ultimately going to be going out 8 bit, then why does this matter you ask???
( i hope this makes sense)
well, when AFX is doing its calculations, your composites, effects, etc are being done in 16 bits allowing for say smoother grads, glows, what have you.
those calculated pixels received the benefit of a 16bit comp.
then when you the 8 bit render comes out it has more information to start with.

id say you could accomplish 95% of that in after effects alone, and would probabley need a few elements from a 3d package, animator, or shotto complete the reaming bits.

i am lucky enough that i am rarely supplied DV/HDV footage, so i dont have experience with this plugin, but have you tried dvmatte?

should be a demo there as well

i have this in my toolbox and use it as a last resort.
it is DOG SLOW,was quite buggy when i first purchased it, and doesnt have a render engine license (you had to pay another 1500 even if you just want to put it on a render node)
but when i cant get a good enough key with keylight, primatte, or zmatte, Advantage has worked.
try the demo. the interface takes a bit to get used to, but once you get past the initial learning curve it all starts to makes sense.
thats what great about demos. if it works for you when nothing else will…
