Good Point – does it only render what is in the mask, so rendering time is less than if a mask wasn’t used?
I’m ofcourse also interested in getting as little render time as possible, when only having a small part of the screen being rendered.
    Thanks for tip!

    Hi Eric
Yes, using AME, so I can continue working while it’s rendering.
What format do you render out to?
I use AME so I can work while rendering and also choose the exact format I need.
    Best, Dan

  • An additional question to the offset – is there a specific amount of iterations that can be run and then stop when that has been reached?
Say I want the wheel to turn around 10 times and after that I want it to stop?

  • That fixed it! I didn’t even notice it was curly quotes! Thank you so much!

  • Thanks a bunch for reply as always Walter!
I get an expression error about the offset and it doesn’t continue after it reaches the last keyframe. I’m for sure doing something wrong ?

Thank you so much Greg. I fixed it – the zoom was very high, so it acted a bit strange. Made a new comp with the planet and a cam and used that comp in my main comp so had better cam angle.
    Thanks Richard!
Wish you all a merry Christmas,
    Cheers, Dan

Can you send me the comp Greg?
I’m using a .mov instead than an image, but That shouldn’t do much difference.

Thanks a bunch for the quick reply Greg.

I have a camera layer and I use the null for rotation. The image rotates along with it and turns flat. Is yours facing the camera all the time when you rotate the null?
    Do you use the auto-orient?
    Hmm..wondering what I’m missing.

This is so golden Walter. Shoot.
Just felt like I learned more of those pro workflow tips that makes the difference, that I have done in quite a while. Will definitely incorporate these into my workflow. Thank you SO much for that!

Is ProRes 4444 to go to format when rendering with alpha in 4K?
Will kill my MacBook Pro ????

    Cheers, Dan
