Thanks Paul,

I think I have found a solution. It appears to have been a missing codecs problem, the XMLs needed TC but CatDV couldn’t detect TC from MXFs without the correct codecs.

I think I have got a solution for this now, I was able to use some external codecs and this seems to have filled the gaps.

So do I have to purchase the Cat DV option before I purchase any codecs?

Can somebody please explain the MXF option with CatDV?

Thanks for the response Bryson, it looks like this may have been a plugin issue, Cat DV couldn’t detect the TC in my MXF files. I have found a plugin on Sony’s website that seems to have helped, albeit in a slightly clunky way (Cat DV can now see the TC but can no longer create thumbnails automatically from these files, not sure why).
