    i am trying to create a DVD. Having issues importing mpeg2-dvd export files to play smoothly in the timeline of encore. footage is 1920×1080 24p. NTSC.

    It plays well by itself but for some reason it does not play and freezes in the timeline but audio is still on. I can scroll through the clip fine and images move but when i play again it will freeze at that point and the volume continues.

    Hopefully this clarifies my issue?

    Just had another thought…

    ive seen tv series that shrink hours of shows on a dual layer dvd but the quality is quite sharp… does anyone know how this is done? is it using avi format?

    thanks for the response Steve. I just wondered if there was a way to shrink the high quality footage somehow onto a DVD.
