Ok, I get that now. But, I still have to wait and see if the movie will render correctly. If it doesn’t, I revert and try again. The number of times I do that will vary which takes more or less time. I am looking for the reason why it doesn’t work. I appreciate your help.

The whole process can take 5 minutes or so before I get a render that works properly. I have to set it up, start the render, wait to see if it is rendering properly. If it’s not, then I stop it, delete both comps in the que, revert, and start the render over again. That takes time.

That is a good idea about saving the render then reverting if it goes wrong, but it’s the multiple starts that takes the time.

I just want to know why this happens.

    Thanks

That is exactly what I am doing. I am making revisions to a movie so I know about how long it takes to render. I know that when I stop the render, the new render starts where the other one stopped. I want to know how I don’t get that new render not to show up. It is very annoying having to stop the render, delete the new render, start the render over again hoping it works right.
