  • Open your new sequence with the blurred and scaled clip in the source monitor (command+double click), then right click the clip you want to replace in timeline and select “Replace with Clip from Source Monitor”. If you don’t need to set any in or out points, you could always just select the sequence in the project panel and then right click the clip in your timeline and select “Replace with Clip from Bin”.

  • The filmmaker did some online interviews on this video. It was all done in FCPX, but could just as easily be done in Premiere. The key is having a TON of footage and matching the shots as they cut, in terms of color and motion. Definitely a lot of speed ramping involved, but the shot selection is what is really key here. The great sound design doesn’t hurt either.

They move the camera on the set. The motion tracking is pretty simple too. Follow this tutorial.

You can parent the wiggle expression parameters to slider controls and keyframe those.

  • We’ve started using Wistia. Even the free version has a lot of features. You can download the original file, or numerous compressed versions if you so choose.

The computer I’ve noticed it on is running Mavericks. I have PP2015 installed on a machine with Yosemite, so maybe I’ll try it out on there when I have the chance and see if the same issue crops up.

Yep, I get the same problem. If I try unmuting a track, it mutes during playback and vice-versa. I usually end up just not using that track and moving everything on it to a different one. That can be a pain on larger projects though. Hopefully it’s fixed in the next update from Adobe.

  • Save a backup of your project file, update PP, and hopefully the new version fixes it. You can keep both versions of PP in case the updated PP introduces more problems, but it’s hard to have a worse problem than your project not even opening.

  • I have the same issue. This article and the linked section on previews should help clarify. Scroll down to the section on stopping a preview with the space bar… It will definitely take some getting used to.

Cassius is correct. See photo for how to turn on motion blur in your comp.
