You have to convert it to Prores LT for editon. H.264 is a delivery format not an editing one.

Exactly were you can download a avchd file I don’t know but this series was recorded with a AG AF100. Hope it helps you.

Probably because your audio was recorded with a different fps than your video.

I dont think you will notice a significant improve, just stick to Prores LT. You can make some test just to be sure.

You can use Prores in SD without any problem.
I found that if your content is going to internet or maybe you are a student with a short film even some Panasonic cameras, like the AG-AF100, recomends Prores LT . Is just fine and it takes less disk space. Prores is the standard and it ok, altought my guess is that in most cases LT is just what you need, I would recomend you to not use Prores HQ or 4444 unless you were planing on doing keying or extensive color correction. -
Divide your project in smaller segments and things will go faster and with less crashes.

Go then with Prores HQ. It’s good for keying and composing and less processor intensive than 10 bit uncompressed. But if you must use the codec then the more the internal HDD the better. 🙂

I have edited some proyects from 16mm into digibeta and then converted to 10 bits uncompresed. SD. My computer, an old 2.66 Mac 1.1 and I didn’t have any problem. What you need is to have 2 or more internal HDD and some descent RAM, about 4GB. Other than that in my experience you don’t need.

Are you sure you are not confused? Becuse I know that the G-Raid Mini can be raid 0 or 1. The G-Speed Q can be 0 to 5 but the G-Raid is just Raid 0.
It would be imposible for the G-Raid to be Raid 5 since
It only has 2 disks.
