  • OK, disregard (1). The scales fell from my eyes on that one, the longer I looked at it.

But what’s going on with motion menus? I had a perfect burn with a motion menu so I saved it for use with others in the series. Got two DVDs burned and now the third one gives me the “file not found” when it transcodes the motion menus. All the files — video b.g., buttons and audio — in fact are present and checked.

Dan, thanks for chiming in that you use Encore CS5 on a Mac — my problem is similar to those reported. I have the animated motion menus in my DVD project (TV Menu & TV Submenu). When I render the project, the first HOURS are devoted to rendering the menus. This morning, for example, I started it at 1115 and now, 8 menus later at 1416, it just finished cooking the menus.

I’m running Encore CS5 on a Late 2009 iMac with 4gb of RAM, and the files live on a hard-wired outboard media drive. All other programs are closed.

I noted that the TV Menus are pre-defined to not transcode, which I thought was odd, but lots of this is new to me.

I’d love to know how to do this faster. Any ideas??

    best!
