I’m not sure what you mean by the term ‘flattened’ in this instance but:
720×576 is 4:3 non-square pixels
768×576 is 4:3 square pixels.All video encoded for computer playback should be square pixel as computer uses square pixels. Therefore, you would take a 720×576 source and transcode to flash at 640×480, 384×288 or 192×144 etc (Ideally you want to have the dimensions equally divisible by 16)

What version of the Media Encoder are you using?
If you are using a version earlier than 1.0.2 then loss of sync is a known issue.__________________________________________________________________

No it’s not normal. Do you find it only happens when you transcode to flv?

Was the exported H.264 clip in sync?
BTW – using Soresnson 3 as source just plain wrong.

Episode from Telestream is your best bet on the Mac. Squeeze maybe capable but it isn’t as professional as Episode.

I don’t use Squeeze so I can’t point you towards the correct preset, H.264 flash usually has the extension of .f4v
Mainconcept H.264 usually produces quality output than Quicktime H.264

I’m not sure what the problem with the sound is as I cant compare it with the imeem version, but if your source video is 16:9, why is the YouTube version 4:3 and as a result, somewhat ‘squashed’?

The motion graphics clips will be rendered down to 25Mb/s 4:1:1 which is DV NTSC. You have no control over this. DV is DV, it’s fixed at 25Mb/s.

Handbrake spits out MPEG-4. Squeeze accepts that as source, you can confirm that on their website.
