Actually, what am I saying, I have a number of other H264 files in the same project that are working fine using the CS5 Trial. It’s just these particular files. They are an odd shape 3256×350 px but apart from that I can’t see why they wouldn’t behave… again they open fine in CS4 just not in CS5 !

    hi Dan

thanks for pointing me onto the Javascript Tools Guide, I’ve been plodding along with the After Effects scripting guide which is a bit thin on the basics. All up running sweetly now.

down the bottom of the original post = “I’ve done a lot of testing with balancing the multi-processing settings and have them pretty well tweaked to optimum” so yes, render multiple frames is enabled and working fine.

I’ve asked the same question on the REDuser forum and received some interesting info regarding the difference in performance between the 32 and 64 bit versions of AE for the PC (particularly for R3D footage). Adolfo I was hoping you could confirm that AE is in fact 64 bit when running on XP64 or Vista64.

And while I’m asking, any predictions as to when AE will be 64 bit for the MAC ?

    hi Peter

thanks for responding. In my case i need to keep the camera moving at a constant speed and just displace the final footage. But interestingly enough your graph is heading in the right direction. Turns out the function i was looking for is Tan based (and is also very specific to the field of view of the lens). My head started melting this afternoon but i finally got it to work.

    cheers../daniel
