Hurray! FCPX 10.2.3 now allows importing of Canon’s C300 MKii RGB 4:4:4 footage

I’m using Media Encoder CC 2015. Just selected format “Quicktime” and codec “Apple ProRes 4444”. Nothing else.

For the 12 bit footage, I’ve been transcoding in Adobe Media Encoder to ProRes444 and then adding the Clog2 LUTs in FCPX with LUT Utility.

Thanks for the reply but that looks to be a C300 driver, not for C300 MKII.

As a temp solution, I’ve been able to use Adobe Media Encoder to batch transfer the files to ProRes 4444.

I’ve been able to get better results especially in the edges/hair with Primatte but the render time is painfully slow, even on my new Mac Pro. Also, I don’t understand why sharing a source master file from a fully rendered 422HQ timeline (using Primatte) takes just as long as it did to render. Anybody have any experience with this?

I’m also seeing the halo problem. Always on the right side of the subject. Here’s a screen grab. Shot with HVX200 1080i 24PA, b.press, everything else default, Quicktime DVCPRO HD codec.
