    Besides begging the question of whether any of us can match Mr. Murch’s precision I think it also makes me think of the producer who wants you to edit out half-a-frame…….or not.

    Yes I do know that it’s ok to blink….just as I know it’s inevitable to shed a few tears viewing intensely awful footage….which is also good for eye health!;)

    Todd….A few years ago I did a small video production for a large seller of children’s products. It was to be included in their products as a bonus. We were told to do English and French versions.
    When we turned in the English version everything was great…..when we turned in the French version everything hit the fan. It seems as though our version of French was the “book” version of the language whereas they would only accept a “street” version of the language which was in line with their previous experiences. Now I do not know if this type of thing happems with Spanish as well but it does give me pause to think that maybe this is a problem you may be dealing with as well. Just a thought……

    Actually Todd I was worried about that too. However I use a program called “HJ-Split” from Download.com. I also created a 2 line explanation on a file in Outlook that I can paste into any e-mail I send.

    In the few times clients have asked for assistance I can generally get them to a stisfactory resolution in less than 30 seconds.

    But i understand your concern because in our business PHD stands for “Push Here Dummy”.

    I normally just use DropBox and cut my files into 275 mb chunks using an split-reassemble program. Works great…..inexpensive….slightly more time-consuming but not much.

    Thanks Mark;

    I will blur and dim the bkg. Makes total sense.

    the reason that I don’t use a voiceover is that I am trying to reach people in their offices and many people I know don’t have the sound working as their default configuration for their desktop.

    Does that make sense?

    I have the countdown and auto-play in an attempt to make the viewing idiot-proof when they hit the link on my page. Having said that, however, I think you are right about the countdown…..especially now that I have unburied the lead message.

    Regards

    Dan
