    Bruce I ran into the very same thing recently.

    I finally got around it by creating a drive image then burning it at different speeds on 3 different brands of disc until they found one that worked. (Shotgun Approach=Sheer Desperation)

    As for them not playing on all Brands of DVD player that truly is a DVD 9 authoring anomaly. I know of some housees that use 6 different brand to check every disc and are thrilled if 5 out of 6 work with DVD 9.

    Hi from up here in Toronto Jan;

    I run a small post operation and have just started being approached to work with P2. Do you know of any resources (courses or documents) that could help get me up to speed?

    Thanks;

    Thank you for your feedback Walter and I can see your points. As a sideline the reason I started writing this at 4 A.M was that I had just come off a run of 4-18hr days to meet a critical deadline for a client. So in this way I am totally in synch with you.

    I too have had nothing but problems rendering out long files in PP 1.5. Lately I have been creating a separate audio file then rendering out my project as a Targa sequence. Then i match the 2 back together in AE and render from there. Now I know this seems like a lot of wasted effort but the end result offers picture quality far superior to smaller projects I have rendered directly from PP 1.5.

    Old John Wayne stuff like “Randy Rides Alone” and “The Man From Utah” or “God’s Gun” starring Lee Van Cleef.

    Interestingly enough the reason you see so much of “It’s a Wonderful Life” at Christmas time is that the rights of the original holder were allowed to lapse so there is no fee.

    Whether that means that it is public domain is another question.
