I had the exact same problem, I replaced the CR 2032 battery next to the tripod plate mount yesterday. Before I replaced the battery it was rebooting every few seconds at times. Shot all day with the camera today and it has worked flawlessly.

So the UVW-1800 will playback and record closed captioning data? THis would be awesome.

BTW thanks for sharing your expertise…my broadcast engineering experience is in the ‘limited to non-existant’ category 😉

I looked through my deck menus and it seems I can change the ‘blanking
lines’ to either ‘mask’ or ‘output’ and I can change the ‘blanking decode’
to either ‘B&W’ or ‘BPF’.

Should I set the ‘blanking lines to ‘output’?

I did hear somethig about having to dump to the hard drive and then to tape if you wanted frame accurate in points on your edits as well.

OK…I’ll try it at the 1440 x 720…I was using the dimensions that usually work for me with CC sphere.

I am trying t make a baseball with a logo on it…I made a PSD with a peanut shaped path that i stroked with a red pound symbol looking brush that makes half assed looking stitches…I also made another version that was 50% gray with a white stroke that i use as a bump map.

Any other suggestions on how i can get it looking a little better are apreciated.
