    Hey Aaron,

Are you looking to buy? I may be upgrading and then will not have the need for two systems.

    Lemme know.

I was able to get parts 2-7 of this clip to import and be converted properly.

I’ve done a couple dozen shoots with this camera and never had this problem.

I did read somewhere that if you start and stop the recording to quickly you may get a corrupt file? Is that true? I did start rolling and then they did a housekeeping announcement…I stopped the record but then rolled quickly again (almost instantly) cause it sounded like the play was going to start.

This is also evident by the clip before the one I’m having trouble with.

Basically clip 1 plays stops and is a good clip…clip 2 plays for 7mns and then becomes corrupt and stops….it is salvageable after 14mns when I manually imported the remaining “parts” of clip 2.

Seems like the card had issues?

    Hi Craig,

I did not get a warning while shooting. It is a lengthy clip…I was shooting a play so it was over an hour long. The clip in the camera shows the correct duration also.

It does not recognize it as a file that can be imported.

What’s odd is that it is a SIM file and has 7 parts when I examine it further with the camera it will play for a couple minutes and then it stops saying “Media Halt”

I just purchased the IndiRailPro and Follow focus. I had no problem at all contacting Tim. Matter of fact he called me and we talked through certain aspects of the rig and it was very helpful.

If you have a limited budget you can get a lot of gear from Tim that will help your productions.

If you are simply looking for more “punch” at the same color temp then I would stick along the lines of what you have. My opinion would be to add interest with different color temp lights or use gels. Either way whatever the dominate light source is….and then it’s temperature is what will effect your color balance.

Maybe a product like a Grass Valley Turbo. You could load the files on the box and let them it convert for you.

Much easier playback and user functions then a PC.

Not entirely sure what it would do to PAL but I’m sure it could convert it.

I think the Panasonic AVHS300G HD-SDI/SD-SDI Video Switcher is really basic and easy to use.

The MediaSite Live box is easy to use and would also allow you to add speaker support slides.

It can be a little daunting on the IT side. But once your up in running my expierence has been good.
