    I’m having a similar problem. Using Vegas 8 (on a 64-bit XP machine). I need to overlay two videos captured in H.264 by Drift Innovations HD170 cameras at 720p resolution. Vegas sees the videos and loads them, and shows correct file info, but they only come up black. Quicktime views the videos no problem.

    I’ve used GSpot to check my codec status and it returns “Codec Status Undetermined” !!??

    Any help would be very much appreciated.
