Sorry can’t tell you that. This is an in house system at a high end club in LA. I’m just the button pusher. Except for a 4 frame offset it’s worked perfectly up to this point.

Actually the audio comes from a stereo feed off the mix from the front of house board. It’s all recorded into this Qt file. So the video and audio are recorded simultaneously ending up on the same file.

Unfortunately the system is only set up to capture HD thru FCP directly onto the drives from the switcher output. The only back up is SD. There has to be a way to make this file viewable, it’s there, it’s 101 GBs only it’s a AV extention as opposed to a .mov file. Where this says FLV my file says AVfile:///Users/apple/Desktop/FLV_icon___QuickTime_X_by_medamayaki.png

I concur with Nick but another thing to look out for is h264 as the video format of any clips. FCP7 hates h264 and will reject it in unexpected ways without any warnings. Convert any h264 clips into pro rez 422 HQ for the most stable result. Yes your video format will defiantly bleed into the audio making it glitchy and twitchy, I’ve had it happen from h264 brain farts.
There is no such thing as luck, it all boils down to experience.

I have not had any issues with quality or previews with Videoblocks, maybe they have improved over time. My experience with them has been great. I fill a lot of holes with their content.

Thank you for your response, I’ve been at this since the beginning of FCP and Apple computers and this is the first time this has happened to me. And yes of course it has to happen on a Stevie Wonder Show.
Tried changing the extension to .mov, didn’t help. Capturing on a quad 2.5 tower with a Blackmagic capture card but that really does not matter because the end result occurred because of the freeze and subsequent hard crash that ended in the incomplete file structure. Usually you escape out of live capture and you end up getting a file that has the first frame as a picon and the file will play in the finder or Qt or VLC or whatever but after re-booting from the freeze I didn’t get a picon I got this, https://img01.deviantart.net/d1eb/i/2010/061/2/c/flv_icon___quicktime_x_by_medamayaki.png
We did make a copy of the incomplete file so we can take it to the Apple store and have a genius fix it but it seems like it’s something we can do ourselves with a little help from the community.
This image has FLV on it as the extension the one I’m getting says AV as the extension with the same Qt background icon.

I’d recommend video blocks, affordable and extensive. Use the heck out of it myself all the time.

Export with quicktime program not as current. You should be able to select the option you want and have it correct.

Helvetica is the perfect font. They made a documentary about it’s perfection, that’s just how perfect it is. True not kiddin.
I guess size is somewhere around 14-16.
