i’d call this a low to mid-level watermark example, but even here it’s clear to see and really doesn’t impact the overall image that much…

it’s really the only option you have if you want to do the best you can to ensure that your images are protected, and even these are removable by an expert at photoshop. but it’s like a car alarm – it’ll deter 95% of the potential thieves, which is a lot better than none…

completely agree with what fernando wrote in the other response – you cannot protect web content from being downloaded… :-/

have you considered watermarks? they are not intrusive but do the job were somebody to print it out and hang it on the wall…

not likely to be a virus – that’s not the sort of thing people go for when they write viruses…

my kvm causes my mouse cursor to move every once in a while – if you don’t have one of those, then it’s likely just a driver hiccup or the sorts…

did you also check what port the traffic is going over? i’d bet that your home router is blocking the ports from the outside world that are used…see this article for reference:

well – that’s not flash – it’s just a static image forced to those dimensions via css… 🙂

well – you can adjust your params in your flash embed code in the html – currently they are:

‘width’, ‘1024’,
‘height’, ‘768’,

however, you will have the bigger issue that not everybody runs their web browsers at that ratio (1:33 to 1)…so with that in mind, if you make your flash movie 100% wide, your content could end up overlapping the height available or not taking up the whole space…

wow. hmm. that is strange. however, w/o seeing your webserver config, it’s really hard to say… :-/

a quick fix would be to update your error page to automatically redirect to your home page, but i will admit that doesn’t resolve the problem…

are you running apache as your webserver? do you have control over it or is it your isp that manages it? if it’s the latter, i’d hit them up with the problem as they should have the access to figure out what it is..

sorry to not have an answer for you, but like i said – w/o seeing config, it’s hard to know…
