Yes Dave, I am definitely looking for a way to automatically turn off a single effect on multiple layers. Ideally via some sort of expression or tagging system etc.

How do you access channel information with multi layered ps images in AE, I cannot figure out how to reimport or replace passes such as Depth. This is why I stay away from multi layered ps files. If anyone knows of a workflow solution that places each pass into a folder it would be helpful.

Great idea, but i already have an animated zoom. I know maya has a solution for this but the terminology escapes me right now.

Would it be possible to change each image individually? Ie. could you make a wall of still photographs using this same process?
