    Sean,

I have a AJ1200A with the firewire board…Is it possible to use firewire for a batch capture? for some reason, I can not get it to work. Running Mac Pro w/ final cut 6. I also have a blackmagic card but (don’t laugh) don’t have an HD-SDI cable or remote cable to hook up to the deck, nor know where I can get one FAST.

    Thanks for the help,

    Chris

    Hi There,

I believe I have made a serious mistake in my edit. I have edited a feature length film in a 29.97 1080i sequence. The footage, however, was shot 24pA 1080/60i on an HDX900. Due to pressure from the producer and lack of funds for a deck, I captured dailies in finalcut as entire tapes (which I then used as masters) using the camera and then subclipped and edited from the subclips.

My question: The pulldown never happened on capture for whatever reason. I was too unfamiliar with the process and messed up! So my clips still appear in final cut as 29.97. The timeline too is 29.97. I have rented a deck for the week to recapture material. What is the best route for me to go from here? Should I media manage and try to remove the pulldown frames? Can I media manage to make an offline sequence in 23.98 then recapture properly with the deck? PLEASE HELP as I am in desparate need for advice. Thanks for your time!
