Use an X-Rite Video chart, point both cameras at it, hook them both up to scopes, adjust a PP of the X70.
Otherwise shot the chart and create a profile for the X70 in your NLE matching the cameras.

Although it seems Red’s interest is due to Apple’s commitment to a new MacPro. Yet, that seems a long way off.
I’m wondering if the time for the new iMacPro is very near since this would be a combination that may push purchases of the iMacPro.

I would test the 30p in 24p timeline before you commit.
There may be temporal artifacts that might look/feel odd depending on the content.
If you just want crisper you could shot with a faster shutter speed to cut the motion blur.

I believe one reason why you see aperture “limitations” on some of the newer cameras is that large sensors do require more light. This is one reason people opt for interchangeable lens cameras where one can use either “fast” primes or expensive fast zooms (which don’t nearly have the zoom range on fixed lens cameras).

While I have Color Finale, there are things about Chromatic that I like that CF doesn’t seem to have. It looks like the tracking and masking features are very good.

FCPX is so expensive, I have to buy plugins in pairs. ????
