I think this would fit in to the iMac Pro, and not the Mac Pro, as it matched up with Apple’s announced specs and timing.
Unless the MacPro and iMac Pro will have the same CPU architectures?

Huh.
I read an article the other day that said the X-Series was in fact ready for the iMac Pro. This seems to refute the that pretty well.

The iMac Pro comes with the Intel® Xeon® Processor Scalable Family, based on Skylake microarchitecture.
Apple can use processors from the Scalable Family for a new Mac Pro, without having to change anything in the xcpm_bootstrap and cpuid_set_info routines
