  • Thanks Craig, they have a link in the back of the book which did not work after download, I will call them on Tuesday and see if they have something better or more recent. I hope you are right, thanks again.

  • Thanks for responding Paul, yes, the APTS. folders are alone, as a matter of fact I tried cleaning out the whole drive except for Sparse images for ADV., and no luck. It is odd, I can open each and see the lessons and the media with the finder, but the only thing that shows up in FCPX is the drive and folders with no disclosure triangle or any way to access either the media or the lessons.

I’m having somewhat the same problem, my folders show up in timeline and the APTS show up in the Even Library, none of which have disclosure triangles or any way to get to the lessons or the media, which I can see through the Finder.
    Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your response Daniel, yes, I can not seem to get audio to speaker, or even to the sys. preferences sound panel to select hdmi as the output preference.

I have an early 08 Mac Pro identified as a 3,1 running 10.8.3, I put in a 5870 graphics card so I can run FCPX with 10g memory and it has improved all, except for this.

My macbook pro running 10.7.5 has worked perfectly with sound using the same adapter, now what????????

Nuts, any and all help, HELP HELP HELP…

Hey John, thank you for the response, I did buy the proaim box for another camera, and would like it to fit, like you say, into the BMPC 4k and it sounds like it will. WHAT cage did you buy and how do you know it will fit the BMPC4K? I can’t find the measurements that would help me, and did you have to buy right angle 1/4 inch audio cable to make it fit? Thank you so much, and information is a financial relief, lot’s to buy to make new camera production ready so shared information here is so good.
    Thanks again,
    Craig S.

Thanks Steven, since no information about the measurements from bottom to mid lens seem to be around for the BMPC4K, I guess I’ll just have to wait until I get it and work from there. Feels a little backwards to me, I like a camera to be production ready when I get it, buy, shoot, edit – yeah babe. Excited to work with this camera.

Thanks John, I too have a ProAim matte box I’m using on a 5D, however, I was wondering about the conversion considering the distance to center of lens and bottom of camera I think is different. I’m not sure what camera you have, but if you have the BMCC production 4k camera, did you have any trouble converting the matte box for that camera?
    Thanks,

Thanks Mathew, I discovered you are right, I’ll try Arri, 1000$ isn’t out of reach I’m just wondering if the box I have for my 5D could be adjusted to fit the BMCC?
