do you know of any consultants, preferably in Canada, who design studio spaces?
thanks

Agreed, I used to modify and copy transitions a great deal in FCP. It seemed a natural fit for PP, ugh.

February 2, 2012 at 1:35 pm in reply to: Banding on gradient in FCP from Motion import. Reason?on that project no. I ended up doing a stylized pixelated background instead. Let me know if you do figure it out though. I must have been missing something.
good luck

March 14, 2011 at 11:48 pm in reply to: Banding on gradient in FCP from Motion import. Reason?tweaked as in, I did all the things you both said in all variations.
32 bit float, “best” in Motion render tab in FCP, both projects are 1920×1080 square. Prores in FCP. Even if I do a vignette on the colour in Motion it bands in FCP. I must be missing something.

March 14, 2011 at 12:33 am in reply to: Banding on gradient in FCP from Motion import. Reason?Hi Andy,
both are 1920×1080, square pixel, filed order = none. prob just the frame window size difference.
I tweaked all settings, even to 32 bit float and it’s still a banded beast.
I think I’ll just have to vignette filter it instead as, it may be a lost cause.
I built the gradient using the gradient generator and then I tried it with only the colour gradient fill inside a rectangle and it seemed to handle it a bit better re: banding but still not as smooth as Motion native.
thanks to both

I did just come across this too from Shape a new product from them. It’s not shoulder mount but does enable both hands on the cam with more stability. Kinda like a pro tiffen steady stick :):
