No, it correctly should be “I can’t afford film so I’ll look into Red.” Otherwise there would have been no market for Red at all. Instead they are transforming the industry.
HDR tonemaps more than 8 stops of latitude down to approximately 8 stops for the delivery codec. As David said the only way to get HDR in one take is to use a camera that records greater than 8 stops of latitude so you have something to tonemap. Those options are essentially film, red, or regular 5-8 stop video cameras with a beam splitter as in your example.
Red has just released the Epic which can do HDR in one take natively. Red cameras are also the only digital camera that shoots in raw format.
DSLRs do not compare to red or film cameras. If you like the look of the video you posted, and your delivery is web video, then get two dslrs and a beam splitter and forget red and film. If you are looking for more than a web video, high quality for mass distribution in theaters or bluray, then consider film or red. You can rent a red camera for a few hundred a day. But it’s not a point and shoot camera, you need a crew to run it, or at least an experienced DP, as with film.

Shoot it, then hire a cartoonist to hand draw over it. It looks like it’s only 15 frames per second, so it’s not as bad as it could be. No fancy lighting or green screen is necessary since the backgrounds will be drawn separately and composited together.
I don’t get the video. The brunette was way cuter than the blond. ??

You can also use the brainstorm feature that can allow you to autogenerate versions of the effects and keep certain ones that you like.

Depends on the colors; test them all until you get familiar with them. Darken, multiply, burn all darken colors. Lighten, overlay, screen, add lighten colors. Others do different things. Blood is going to darken a shirt, thus multiply, darken or burn are the ones I’d start with first.

And a blend mode like darken, multiply or color burn. That will blend a semi-transparent “blood stain” into the details of the cloth behind it.

Yes. I don’t want to get political with this, so I’ll be brief. Lawsuits are civil, law is criminal. They are very different.
EULAs are only civil contracts and not law. Contracts are often found unenforceable and not legally binding; depending on many circumstances. Civil suits can be brought for any reason without tie to morality, justice or democracy.
Sony had a EULA with their music CDs that allowed you to put it on your computer, but if you went bankrupt you had to delete it off your computer. ??
Zeus, a malware maker, had a EULA that said you could not send the malware (that infected your computer) to antivirus companies, nor reverse engineer it, and you agree to pay for updates to the malware software. ?!?!
Many EULAs are bogus and abusive and unlikely unenforcable. While I support your desire to not facilitate illicit activities, I don’t think it serves anyone to scare people into blindly following EULAs just because they are there.
For instance Dave, did you know that the Adobe AE EULA grants them the right to “inspect your records, systems and facilities” to verify license compliancy. Section 13: https://www.adobe.com/products/eulas/pdfs/gen_wwcombined_20091001_1604.pdf
They even grant the appropriate use and distribution of content files in their EULA. Section 2.8. Therefore your concern over the EULA is moot and using the sound even in a commercial or movie is explicitly granted.

Bridge is not that great of a program. MP4 is a file type, but not a video or audio type. It is only a container for video and audio information that can be of many types. Almost all video files are like this: avi, mov, mpg.
I manage my footage in explorer with file structures. Depending on the project, I might import all of my footage and organize it into folders.

It came with a 250gb 5400rpm. I replaced it with a 500gb 7200rpm.
Never get a system with a 5400rpm drive if you can avoid it, or plan to replace it. A slow harddrive is one of the greatest performance drains for a system.
But really any reasonably recent laptop will be fine for you. You don’t know how to use AE yet so any system it will run on will allow you to learn. Once you know how to use it, you’ll have more reason to have a powerful system. Rules of thumb are: 7200rpm harddrive, then spend as much as you can afford on processor, and memory up to say 12-24gb.
