How about using auto trace to outline the finish animation. Then set an alpha Matt to the line with some dash lines from auto trace.

Are you talking about the pixels? Is the quality set to quarter?

Isn’t that a graphics card? Particular doesn’t use the graphics card unless you got the new version and have gpu acceleration on which doesn’t work with blending modes.

What I suggest after looking at the project file is to use shape layer strokes. What I did is convert the AI files into shape layers (yes, it keeps the animation) and turn off fills and turn on strokes. Then in the stroke option, click the plus button for dashes. If you want the lines to move, use the time expression on offset. I suggest that you make another house and simplify because it adds the stroke into all the doors and windows and I don’t think you want that.

Your best solution is to animate it from shape, and then when you’re finished copy and paste the stroke effect into the other shapes.
Also worth mentioning is that you could put one stroke effect under all the shapes. The problem is it outlines everything combined.

The problem is most likely that your key frames are a few frames apart, thus making the animation very quick. Try spacing them out 2 seconds apart like in the tutorial.
