what i mean by jumpy is that there are no straight lines on the video. each line looks like a wiggling diagonal etcha-scetch line. i had it on 720×480 and rgb and single field. Help!

Thanks for taking all that time to respond to me. I really appreciate that. I have avid 4.3 which is an older version, will it still work with a newer quicktime. I had the new quicktime and i was having some difficulty with it so i got an older version of quicktime again. The people at avid suggested that. So does that ruin the way you do it?

I think encore is actually supposed to take qt files but my version freezes every time I try that version.

I dont have sorenson. I thought encore was a good encoder. Is there a way to encode it for encore within avid?

It just says that the avi has reached its maximum length and that just cant be true. nobody to help me?

I have encore 2.0 but it still wont accept quick time reference files. it wont except dv stream or quick time movie either. i tried omf too just to try something but nothing works. any more suggestions? aaf sound worked but still no picture
