My avid Xpress wont let me make long avis
I have 30 gigs of space on my computer and I should be able to make a long avi but it keeps telling me that the avi is too long and only lets me get about 12 minutes into the movie. What is wrong?

It just says that the avi has reached its maximum length and that just cant be true. nobody to help me?

Avi files have a 2GB limit coming out of Avid. I think it’s a windows limitation. If you have a third party compression program like Sorenson you can export a quicktime reference and compress it to an Avi there. It has more flavors of Avi than Avid, I suppose, so it doesn’t run into the 2 GB limit.
