Ive tried rendering to AVI – the only option it seems is “Video for Windows(*.AVI)”
Is this what you would use? because that gives me a file 22GB in size. Is there another AVI option I dont see?

Aah the .veg file is the edit list. That makes sense.
What Im looking to do is remove the wild footage (Id loaded for editing) from the computer. The project is now finished.
However – should I need to make changes to the edit at some time in the future – would I then reload that wild footage, tape by tape and then the saved .veg file would relate accurately to the reinstalled wilds – as if they’d never been removed? is that correct?

The shuddering was overcome by selecting Upperfield First in custom rendering. Ive defaulted it and Im happy as!!!!!

yes it was lower field first. ill change that.
also.. is interleave every .250 ok? or should it be set as interleave every frame?
