    Thanks Steve, but it still doesn’t make sense that I can ‘Mute’ the effect of the FX, but can’t ‘Fade’ the effect?

    The only progress I’ve made is to enable the Composite Envelope to impact on the Composite Mode, e.g. if I use “Overlay mode”, it darkens the Main Clip (to be expected) then sliding the CompEnv to 0% the darkening effect is reduced.

    Are you saying I can’t use this technique to impact/adjust Track FX?

    It feels like there should be a combination of Comp Modes & Layer structures that would work?
