Any advice on specific SATA RAID’s? Do you find one company to be particularly better than an other? One you trust more? Im not worried about cost when it comes to securely storing my footage and saving time to focus on the creativity end.

    Thanks!

Thanks David! I follow your posts frequently and am so glad YOU responded! You mentioned that all FW800 drives have two enclosures.

My Lacie and Seagate HD’s only have 1 FW800 port (as well as my iMac). Is this common? Both of them have USB ports, which I DO NOT want to use. Does this mean I need HD’s that have multiple FW800 ports?

    Thanks again, David!

    Roger,

It sure does have a hotshoe mount! Love these mics. Thanks for your response. I was just curious is why I asked this question.

I just ended up attaching two transmitters (one on the groom and one on the officiant). I used an 1/8inch to XLR on each receiver and plugged them into the H4n…AND…Perfecto! Sound came out great. Very little tweaking in post.

Thanks to all for your help!

I dont. What I need to do is have one lav mic attached to the groom and one lav mic attached to the officiant. Will I need to have two separate zoom’s with two different receivers, both on different frequencies so I can capture each different audio recording?

    Thanks!

Its from my work. They do online educational seminars. I do believe we have two receivers, but for the wedding im shooting, I only have on H4n and do not have the ability to run two receivers to the H4n at the same time.

I understand that you cannot have two mics on the same frequency at the same time. Any way around this?

It should, but when I select Letterbox, it does not keep a true aspect ratio. By selecting letterbox, should I see the black bars at the top and bottom of my TV?

Like I said, its only slightly off. In some shots, the heads are slightly cut off at the top and the image seems like its a little stretched.

Yes. I am copying the ENTIRE contents of the card to the specified folder. I am dragging the DCIM and the MISC folders from my CF reader to my external HD. This is how I’ve always done it and it has worked fine. Just not this time…

Yep. It was there. I trashed all of them. restarted my computer. opened FCP. Nothing happened. I used Log and Transfer. Added a new clip. Used ProRess 422. Added it to my browser. Created a new sequence. Dragged my clip into the timeline. It never asked me to match my sequence settings to my clip settings.

What I tried was creating a custom preset in easy setup for ProrRes 422 1980X1080 24p. Do you think that would work for my sequence settings?
